Oh folks! What a thrilling contest it was between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, today.
RCB batted first and posted a strong total of 221/5 in 20 overs. Virat Kohli (67 off 42 balls) and Rajat Patidar (64 off 32 balls) played crucial knocks, while Jitesh Sharma (40 off 19 balls) provided a fiery finish. Krunal Pandya was the standout bowler for MI, picking up 4 wickets for 45 runs.
Mumbai Indians, in response, fought hard but fell short, managing 209/9 in their 20 overs. Tilak Varma (56 off 29 balls) and Hardik Pandya (42 off 15 balls) kept MI in the chase, but Krunal Pandya’s last-over heroics sealed the win for RCB.
With this victory, RCB ended their 10-year drought at Wankhede Stadium and climbed to the top of the IPL 2025 points table.
